Squeeze and Danny Baker – A marriage made in Greenwich

Quite a comeback by one of Britain’s best loved and ageless pop purveyors, Squeeze. Their Cradle To The Grave tour took in 25 UK venues, and the album of the same name was released amid a mountain of generous critical praise from fans and media alike. The BBC biographical comedy series (similarly titled Cradle To Grave) based on the teenage years of their media pal Danny Baker, not only features the title track as the theme tune, but the book that inspired the series itself was also the catalyst for many of the new songs on the album, and Glenn Tilbrook wrote incidental music for the show… A truly symbiotic relationship… Stylorouge have been heavily involved in the band’s year so far; A new website, the album packaging, merchandise, tour brochure, two Rob O’Connor photo shoots, and the band even played a spectacularly gorgeous warm-up gig for Stylorouge partners the Bubble Club at Canterbury’s Westgate Hall. With a 28 date US duo tour starting in November for the band’s founders Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, everything is looking rosy for Squeeze.
